The chief of mice decided to find a husband for his daughter. He wanted the man to be the strongest in the world and so decided to offer her the Sun. The Sun, however, refused saying that he was not the strongest but that the Cloud was. The Cloud started to laugh: he was not the strongest in the world. That was the Wind. The Wind, even though flattered, had to admit that he was not the strongest: the Wall was certainly stronger than him. By now exhausted, the mouse went to the Wall, and the Wall laughed out loud: "How can a mouse think I am the strongest in the world when you mice can nibble holes in me and pass through me?".
Finally the mouse understood: the mice were the strongest in the world!
The best husband for his daughter would be the most pugnacious of the young mice in his group. And so it was.
